BB and WW are home— not dry, but safe. Left at 7 am, rode straight through except for one gas stop, and arrived at 1 pm.

We got absolutely poured on, complete with thunder, lightning, and ponding water, between Troy and Albany. Interstate 787 is certainly not the best place to get caught in a storm, but we made it. Our front porch currently looks like a yard sale, with rain- and protective gear draped on the outdoor furniture to dry.

Our total for the rally was 686 miles. With the exception of the 20 or so wet miles mentioned above, it was all wonderful.

@Ebwan : You and Shelley can be proud of yourselves. You put on a fine rally, and Mike and I thank you and young Boyd for being such congenial hosts, and making sure we all had what we needed to enjoy our time.

Looking forward now with happy anticipation to next year's return to Lincoln, New Hampshire -- hopefully with everybody who came this year, and everybody who wanted to come but couldn't due to the damned pandemic.

Volusia Riders, you're the best -- and I love you!

Sloppy kisses,
