Where to buy spokes? Does VL800 Volusia 2001 rear wheel fits in a 2003?

Hi guys! :)

Unfortunately, yesterday I had all spokes from one side of my rear wheel broken. I was riding with my son and we got an abrupt difference in the leveling on the road (QEW in Toronto, Canada).

My rear wheel is in a super new condition... I have two questions here:

1. I bought the VL800 Volusia 2001 rear wheel at eBay - Does it fit in a bike 2003?
2. I want to buy the spokes and install/fix my current wheel. Where can I buy it from?

Thank you!!

There is no difference in the wheel used on the VL800, regardless of the year. You can use a wheel from 2001 on a 2023.

As for the spokes, you can get a set off of JP cycles for about $90us. A shop will charge a few hundred to relace and true the wheel.

Just an FYI, stainless steel is very soft and can flex excessively under torsional loads. Stick with carbon steel or chromed carbon steel for spokes.
