Upcoming Changes to the Motorcycle.com App.

Hello,

We’re here to announce some changes to the Motorcycle.com app. Firstly, we regret to say that Tapatalk is pulling its support of our branded Motorcycle.com apps, both the free and paid versions. As a result no further updates for them will be released and they will no longer be available for download as of December 31st 2015. Sites that request it can be added to the main version of Tapatalk, but all app support will need to go through Tapatalk itself.

However, we can now announce that we have developed a brand new Motorcycle App developed with a different company that we will be working very closely with. This will allow for issues to be addressed in a much timelier manner. The new app can be found here!

iOS:
Motorcycle Free (Motorcycle.com) by AutoGuide.Com https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/motorcycle-free-motorcycle.com/id1000718653?mt=8

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.topify.motorcycle&hl=en

You’ll notice that there’s no paid version of this app. That’s because unlike the old app this one recognizes paid users on the site and is ad free for those groups!

Some other important features include:

Being able to switch freely between light and dark skins!
Being able to upload more than one picture at a time!
Instant push notifications for all of your subscriptions and PM’s
Regular updates directly through the site so you don’t have to search through the app store!
A new streamlined look for speed readers and posters!

We hope you enjoy this brand new app and we thank you for all the time you put in to the old!

As always we welcome your suggestions and issues, so please post them here!
Remember to include your device and operating system when you’re posting issues!

Thanks

Is it possible to just renew the license for the old app and leave everything the way it was?

I liked Windows XP because it worked.
Like, for example, if I hit the back button from here it will bring me to the top of the active list instead of where I had already scrolled to. I can see it when I post as it shows me the list refreshed but it also happens when I haven't posted. It's a hassle as well as a complete waste of time.
No, there is no renewal for the old app.
We are moving forward with our new motorcycle free app.

So that means no more mobile app for me.... :-(
If you aren't a fan of the new app, there is also the Tapatalk app available.

Pictures.
Sometimes I like to zoom in.
With the old app, I can click on the picture and then spread my fingers to zoom in.
Can't do that on the new app.

Well when you have members complaining is that moving forward? Do you work for us or do we work for you? It seems you have a lot of "moving forward" as you call it to catch up to how "forward" the last program was that you discontinued.

Thats moving "forward". Just because most apps are like that means it's time to improve and not let this app do it. That will be included as an improvement in the next update.
Makes you wonder if anyone trys these new apps before they are released.
If you go into the settings of the app, and change the loading behavior from Oldest to Newest it should clear things up for you.

Why doesn't it work in Participated?
With the scroll bar on the bottom for another example, I have to load 7 pages on my phone to get to the last post in the thread to reply. WTF!

You guys should screen your writers before hiring them. They may tell you they're college educated but I think they're idiots. Most likely I'm not the only one who feels this way.

This website has been running since 2002 and your piss poor programing is chasing member participation away.
Froze again this morning - shut it down but won't initiate. Accessing from the old app.

Nice right!

I wish they would actually do something that resembles some sort of intellegence.
You know what? Next time you do your so called improvements and post it up just make the thread so we can't reply to it with feedback as you guys who write this sh1t don't want to hear of any constructive criticism. You should all be fired. If I worked and produced less than I was trying to replace I would be fired. Why are you any different?

The original web page and phone apps were the best and your think tank managed to degrade everything. Are you a group of wanna be developers who couldn't make it in the real world?
Couldn't get to load - uninstalled and reinstalled again. This is the last time, if it happens again I'm done.
I deleted it from my phone more than a week ago. I've also given up on the mobile web version as well. Neither loads worth a crap, the interface is crap, it takes 3 pokes to get the app to respond and it spends most of its time loading advertisements that I don't care about and will never click. This is what happens when your preferred internet community goes from being run by enthusiasts to being run by a commercial entity. We are no longer members, we are instead a commodity which is used to drive advertising revenue.

Well Said!
I've deleted it as well!
I'm sorry people have been having a poor experience with the new app. I want to remind everyone that new apps (and this one is still only months old) need a lot of work, but that we really want to cooperate with everyone to improve it's operation. The discontinuation of the old app was mostly out of our hands. The license has expired and can't/won't be renewed.

If you are having trouble getting the app to run, please tell me what device you are using. If you are seeing ads, please post a screenshot as the new app should only have banner ads that have a low in-pact on site use.

If you have any suggestions as to what you would like to see added to the app, please tell me and I will have it forwarded along.

Kevin
Make it work like the old one. Nobody bitched about that one. This one sucks.

In school, I never submitted a paper that wasn't finished.

In Comp Sci there was one kid I befriended. Really intelligent guy. When challenged with debugging our own programs he'd always enter negative values, or decimal values, or just a carriage return and the program choked.
Taught a lot of people to be mindful of their inputs and while(0) or null values. I carried this technique into college and became a scourge in C/C++, VB, and Java.
I guess I just don't understand how a program isn't thoroughly debugged and every possible avenue analyzed. At least a beta version to gather input and debug rather than sell the people a car with three wheels.

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
