the manual for my 2006 C50 isnt clear as to the type of antifreeze other than 50/50 mix distilled water and coolant. Can you use the same type of antifreeze that you use in a car?

You need to use a coolant designed specifically for aluminum systems. I use Coolanol, which comes in a 50/50 premix. Find it at motorcycle shops.

Oh, and welcome to the VR from Phoenix, AZ!

Careful! You must use Suzuki brand coolant, and might as well go to your dealer to buy Suzuki air for your tires (it's best, you know) and Suzuki oil at the same time.

Dude, walk into your local Advance Auto, Pep Boys, AutoZone, etc and pick up whatever 50/50 mix you want. If it's for aluminum systems, you're fine. And you can use it for your cage, too.

Seems like most everything's calling for 50/50 LOL I beg to differ I live in granbury Texas and I have 50/50 in it and it started leaking out the top of the head it kind of gets cold out here I wouldn't recommend it the truck did the same thing 4 years ago 50/50 antifreeze started leaking in between the block and transmission why buy water when you got it at home some people just don't get it

50/50 antifreeze did not cause your engine leak. Filling your cooling system with anything other than antifreeze and distilled water will cause buildup of suspended impurities from tap water inside the cooling jacket and will ruin the engine.
