I live in central Indians, so I put the scoot away from about mid November, to about mid March. What I’ve done in the past is put the scoot on a 4x8 sheet of plywood covered with a rug, this at least will keep the tires off the cold concrete floor. But would it be worth the time and expense if I bought a motorcycle jack and jacked the scoot up just enough to get the tires off the floor? Or is that overkill?

A lot of people go through elaborate processes before putting their power equipment away for the winter. All of it is overkill. Fill the tank with fresh gas, add fuel stabilizer, change the oil, either put the battery on a tender or remove it from the bike and put it on a tender, pump the tires up to whatever the max inflation pressure is on the sidewall to prevent flat spotting, cover the bike and leave it till spring.

I will occasionally go out to garage and roll my ride back or up a few feet so as not to have the tires sitting on the same spot for the entire off season. Not necessary and I will take advantage of any nice day to ride even if just enough to feed the need.

I pretty much do what Skrap said. (I use Seafoam in the tank). I actually have a very tall ceiling in my shop and use a pulley system to hang my bikes from the rafters. It used to be a machine shop, so I have a bunch of very sturdy eye bolts welded onto the metal beams. People look at them funny when they first come into the shop and then forget about them.
