A buddy of mine has one that is 5 years old with 47k miles on it and it still runs like a champ. Very good bike, but your buddy would out grow it quick,also the bike is screaming to keep up on intersate, and to top it off it has a very small seat, rough for a decent size fellow. I like the vt600, but i would not buy it, to small....

My wife rides a VT 600 and likes it very much. A bit small for me, but for her, it's spot on!

it's a decent streetbike especially for the money. Quite dependable. But Will they be doing alot of highway riding? Then it gets a pretty buzzy from what I have heard

I have a buddy with one, just a little guy. He rides everywhere on it and loves it. Sure it turns higher RPMs on the highway but it is engineered for that. He says it does vibrate a bit on the highway but not too bad. A honda helix 250 can drive smoothly down the highway so I guess a Honda 600 shouldnt be too bad, even if it is a V-Twin. It is little though, even smaller than a sportster I would guess.
