We are trying to start fresh with Current Events, and hope to moderate it well enough to prevent any recurrence of the, umm, bitterness that poisoned its predecessor.

Meanwhile those who use Current Events may have to resubscribe (in their profiles) to gain admission to the new version. Without permission you can see an empty forum, even though it contains posts, and you cannot start a thread in it.
