Tapatalk is an app that can be used with iphone, blackberry, Android or Nokia Smartphone to read forums. It is easy and convenient... I use it currently with my iphone to follow couple of other forums but I can't use it for this one... It says that the moderator has to activate it... Anyone knows if we have try it or even consider it?

I don't think it is the admin at fault here, the forum is owned by motorcycle.com, they have an app so why would they make it functional for a competitor? If the .com app ever goes under, it seems that both apps gui is practically the same so I doubt it would be long until it switches over.

Well. Motorcycle.com gets the financial benefit from all users who are forced to download and pay for their proprietary app to access this forum from mobiles. An app that is good for not much else.

To be fair and balanced, the motorcycle.com app is cheaper than tapatalk and I'm sure it cost a buck or two to develop. I do like the app and I even have an iPad, so ican see the VRU on a full browser. IMHO, it's worth the buck 99.

Oh, I completely agree, I have both. I also understand that it would nice if they could somehow merge and make one big app, use tapatalk but charge 1.99 to get the motorcycle.com sites through it or something.

I guess motorcycle.com forum viewer (that I'm using now) is just another app and a couple of bucks and a couple of taps. Not something to rant about.
I'll have to find something else worthy of a rant!

I use Blackberry everything and cannot use either apps. I paid for tapatalk and every bike forum but the ones I use are there. The VR and VRCC are not. I have been unable to find motorcycle.com app for blackberry. And really who cares about the competition if their making you money.

Admin uses a Blackberry, so what's going on??

+1 on getting tapatalk support.

Now don't get jealous here, but I participate in a number of forums and this is the only one I have to access manually outside of tapatalk.

A little off the tapatalk subject to the motorcycle.com app. I can't seem to load a pic from my cell app. Always says can't communicate with serverw but I can post. Anyone else have that issue? BTW its for my profile pic...not in a post.

Au contraire. The Motorcycle.com app, basically a skin over Tapatalk, is available for downloading from the usual app stores.

It does not perform perfectly for this forum, but the essential functionality is there.
