Tapatalk is an app that can be used with iphone, blackberry, Android or Nokia Smartphone to read forums. It is easy and convenient... I use it currently with my iphone to follow couple of other forums but I can't use it for this one... It says that the moderator has to activate it... Anyone knows if we have try it or even consider it?

thanks

+1, its a nice app for iphone users to keep up on different forums. works great! would be nice to add this forum :D
I would be interested in having that but I don't think the board version would be supported.

I don't get it? I can look at this web site on my phone just like my computer why see it different or need a app?

Question: how did you get the "pics" of the phone screens, and did you use the photobucket thingy to post?
Any chance this plugin could be installed on this forum? I've installed it on a phpbb forum and it works great. And Tapatalk does sport vBulletin.

Tapatalk is useful for just reading the forum without all the extra graphics.
We have a mobile friendly version on its way. Its being beta tested on the auto sites right now.

Hi

Can admin provide an update on Tapatalk?
Will Tapatalk compatibility be implemented, or is it implemented?
Cannot access this forum from my iphone using Tapatalk - is there something happening on this, do I have to implement any functionality locally?

Thanks in advance for the update
It isn't tapatalk, it is motorcycle.com app. Yes you have to pay for it just like tapatalk and the GUI is pretty similar.

Perhaps I should clarify.
I want to access the forum from my mobile device, which in my case is an iPhone.
This would be a similar requirement to about 20 million or maybe 50 million other users. So I am very surprised you don't have a standard operating procedure or recommendation for accessing this forum through a mobile device

From what I can deduce from your reply this forum is still not Tapatalk compatible.
This forum apparently has the technicaal ability to be compatible with Tapatalk, but the functionality has not been implemented.

I should instead download an app from motorcycle.com.
What the name of that app is I don't know. Do you know? Does anyone know?
You seem to imply motorcycle.com is an app - it is not.

I realise administrators and/or senior members have many requests on their time, and I am a new member here but I have spent 20 years in the IT industry and am a member on multiple forums. In this case you simply haven't answered the question. Your referral is ambiguous. Would you care to elaborate please?

In the meantime I will search the motorcycle.com apps page, but if you have any more elaborate directions/information that would be appreciated; and would no doubt be helpful to thousands of others.

Thank you.

The name of the app in the app store is motorcycle.com, that is what I searched under just now on my ipad. And it is the first option for both the ipad AND the iphone. I have been using it for months as have many of the others that you can see post for their iphone in the forums. You asked a question, I gave an answer and I can only hope it is because of the lack of tone the internet enforces but it seems that your response was very 'snarky'. It hardly seemed necessary and honestly I will be more hesitant to provide answers for you in the future if I continue to think that is the case.
Just so you can see.

WOW.... like the commercial said... "There's an app for that" Great!
What I don't understand is that every time I went to VR in safari on my iWhatever it immediately popped up with "This forum has an app, would you like to DL it?" message and if I click yes then it took me to the specific app. Is this NOT normal for iphones?

The trouble is, that the Tapatalk app is a very popular iPhone forum reader, with millions of users, and access to 27,000 forums, including 979 motorcycle forums. By comparison, the motorcycle.com app that you mentioned is motorcycle specific and good for about 50 forums only (none of which I am currently subscribed to).

So you can see, it is a bit tiresome that the forum administrators haven't bothered to implement Tapatalk functionality, especially when it is compatible with the development platform used for this forum.

Dewey405 I want to thank you for your reply, and I did not mean to appear discourteous in my other post.
