slow site

im not having any issues atm, ahvent for a while

i run firefox, with add ons
Well firefox isn't as common as Chrome and I don't plan on changing anytime soon. Switch to Chrome or IE 11 and let us know how you make out.
cant here at work, but maybe when i get home i will try it
Chrome with AdBlockPlus works just fine. No slowness to worry about.

thats the same ad on i use :)
I use AdBlockPlus too.

It doesn't happen all the time, only when I post about it. If it happened more I would post about it more. That's the purpose of this thread.
Hey folks,

If you are experiencing a slow site, could you grab some information for me so that I can investigate?

- Browser / OS / Device

- Are you seeing any rogue pop-ups or hear any videos playing in the background, but cant see them?

- Is this during a certain action? / Time of day?

- Is your browser giving you an alert (usually in the bottom left hand corner) such as waiting on / connecting to (website)?

- Is your browser showing any error messages or "Long running Script" alerts?

A good idea is to always clear your cache and cookies as it may be a bad cookie.

If you are using IE, I always suggest switching to Chrome/FireFox, (Better compatibility wise / security features) but if need to use IE, have you set the site up in compatibility view settings? Tools > Compatibility View Settings > Add > www.volusiariders.com

Any additional information you can provide will be helpful.

Thanks,
- JB

Still working fine on My PC.
The site is acting up again, just like a few weeks ago.
Try replying with a quote, and the entire page(s) lock up.

AND IT ONLY HAPPENS HERE ON THIS SITE!!!!!

I just got the same pop up trying to reply. I had to close the site and reopen it to reply. It's the only site that does it that I visit. Ain't it nice :biglaugh:
I just went through the same routine again trying to post in another thread. I work during the day and work when I come here. This is fun :wink2:

quote testing!

This issue is only on the VR site. I belong to other vBulletin sites, and no problems, what_so_ever.
I've had the locking issue using Chrome, Opera, Internet Explorer, and Firefox browsers. Really doesn't matter which browser is used, the VR site acts the same.
Layout is VR Full-Dark, device is My HP Pavillion HPE desktop PC, using Windows 7 Premium Op Sys.
Anytime that I try to QUOTE a post, that action immediately "locks" the page, as well as My Administrator's page.
BTW, all of the quotes in My posts of late, have been manually added, without using the QUOTE button.

No debug message....it simply locks up the forum page, and My Admin's page as well.
Image below shows what I receive:
I have to disable a plugin, but you shouldn't be getting those script errors anymore. but first! clear cache and cookies to start anew

Lee, did it work on the first try for you or did you have to restart the site like I had to twice within an hour yesterday?

I have not had an issue myself quoting, and looking from Li's end she was also able to do so on the first try.
Is anyone else still having issues?

Richard.
Now that she disabled the Plug in, everything should work fine, but please let us know when this spikes up again.

Richard.
