After riding on a forest service road, I pulled over to have some coffee and noticed that my right rear turn signal was hanging down and the screw was missing. This is not the lens screw. It is the screw that attaches the chrome signal tube to the inboard chrome tube piece.
My bike is a 2002 VL800. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

It happened to me too. I caught it when the lens was just lose and the screw was still there. When you get another screw, put some lock tight on it.

Is there a question in there somewhere?

This reminds me of the time, at speed, @v0lusia's signal lense fell off and he whipped a hand out to catch it out of mid-air like a ninja before we pulled over to reattach it.

Unfortunately, that is not an "oem replaceable" component. Suzuki does not specify the screws used inside the turn signal stalk on the parts fiche. You will have to try to match it up with something from the hardware store. Use locktite when you replace it.
