Hi, I removed the OEM saddlebags for some cleaning.
I am having a hard time remounting.
It seems once the bolts are removed the holes between the fender and the chrome fender support that the bag screws through don't line up well.

I have tried! LOL

I have been able to get the hole closest to the taillight but not the one closest to the front.
It seems a lot harder than it should be.
Any advice appreciated.

Oh wow, I had forgotten about this problem, but YES, what he said!

In the meantime, it takes a lot of struggle and finesse to get them lined back up.

Use 4 tapered punches or Lady Slipper bars to line up all four positions, one at a time.
After that, a simple one bar removal to allow a single bolt installation will solve the issue.
This is not rocket science, it is a simple re-alignment.

buy slightly longer screws and install from inside the fender then when you want to take the bags off you only need to undo the nuts inside of the bags and not go thru this again
