What's your favorite ride in NJ? So far the best i've found is 519 from warren county all the way up to High Point, possibly over the border to Hawks Nest in NY, and over to Bear Mountain.

Man, that one sounds good. A friend of mine wants to head up to Hawks Nest before it gets too cold. I think I'll use this route you have here.

Well I'm going to try for Sunday the 29th. I'll keep you posted.

Joe
My favorite ride thus far is from Sandy Hook Nj to Seaside heights NJ. About 100 Mile RT. Along the beach most of the way. 40-50 mph . Lots to see and look at. When we get to seaside a manditory stop at the midway for a sausage and pepper sandwich. These guys have been a part of seaside since I was a kid.

Sometimes I take the GSP home if I'm in a hurry. Much faster and no traffic. If anyone want to do it shoot me an email
I have some family history in Seaside. We lived in East Brunswick/South River, but my grandmother had a house there, where we used to spend the summers. When my Dad was a teen, he'd work with the carnies during the summer.

I haven't been there in the last few years, but am considering a NJ trip next year.

If you do do the trip by all means stop bye or even stay at my house if you want.

Steve, I'll be in Newton on Sunday (9/29) at 9am. I'm heading up there with some co-workers to take a trip up to Port Jervis, NY to ride Hawk's Nest. 5thton may be coming also. Check your email.

Anyone else want to go?
The route that takes me out of that God forsaken state !!

Sorry, I just couldn't believe no one had posted a slam yet, so I had to do it !!

Incorrect. Tony's house (used for exterior shots) is in North Caldwell. I know the owners, and I've watched them film.

Interior shots are all done on a soundstage, though the layout is a duplicate of the real house.

Sorry :)
i think my fav nj ride are the simple ones. like going up main st in boonton, down the boulevard in mountain lakes, or maybe past st clares hospital and down powdermill road.

theres also a short scenic trip from rt 80, up rt 15, then back down rt 206 to 80 again. if you have time to kill, theres always tours up around high point.
as an unrelated followup, the house that carmella had built (the one where she had problems with the contractors) is located in northern montville. i have a pic taken from my cell phone when i was out on the bike. the house is finished now, during filming it was just a framed structure.

fyi - the buzz is that rap star coolio is looking to buy that house.

They are a copy of mc enterprises highway bars, but i made them so they are extended about 6 inches forward and 3 inches out

I've done 519 a few times.

The neatest is 10 miles on Clinton Road from Warwick Turnpike to Route 23. Lots of twisties if that's your thing, through the woods and along a few lakes.

Or I take 287 to Skyline Drive right to Wanaque Reseirvoir, hang a right on 513 or 512 (Can't remember) jump off on the 5 mile road that takes you through the woods along a creek and then right onto the other side of Greenwood Lake, loop around to the otherside, make a left and go right back to Skyline Drive.
Never ridden in NJ, so I can't offer anything to the conversation.

This is the oldest thread I could find on the site, so this should take the title away from Skrap for oldest thread resurrected!

Neither have I, but I was in Newark one Saturday night, and thought I was probably gonna get killed.
Either by a first class mugging, or an attack by rats the size of Chihuahua's.
