Correct, it is not an option. The forklift upgrade / redesign of the site wiped out the choice users formerly had to opt into or out of the Off Topic, Playground, and Current Events subforums.

I pointed the problem out to Vertical Scope when the upgrade first was performed, but to no avail. Maybe it was too late by then.

shame too...wonder how many members don't even come here any more because of it....seems like more than half the threads lately has to do with anything but anything mc related...fine... if thats what one enjoys, but it should be a choice what displays on ones home page...guess the VolsiaRider Big Brother will determine what is good for us.

Yup. And it's an absolute bore. God, I miss when the VR was truly the VR.

I'm inundated by politics on Facebook, too, and that's also a bore. But at least on Facebook I can choose to discretely put someone in "timeout" if I get too tired of his/her incessant yapping.

do you mean to unsubscribe from forum sections? you can unfollow the forums in the main index or go here: Suzuki Volusia Forum

You're one of the biggest instigators with your skewed biased ridiculous views. You wanted to play, then you didn't, then you played again, now you don't want to.
It appears most people here that don't want to go to the Current Event section are Democrats. Don't want to read the other side of the story, only what the mainstream media tells them.
Just delete the whole section. Period. Who's idea was it to be here in the first place? I remember when it showed up and I asked why as I didn't want to see it either.

morning Beez...not saying we should delete the current event section, just have the ability to choose whether or not to we have to view it on our menu every time we check in...shouldn't really be asking all that much...

believe they call it "progress"..".moving onto a better way"...unfortunately it never really is any better, creates more confusion, and just when you get used to the new system, they change it again.
