I lost my service manual for my 2001 Volusia and have only had it a short time....Should I stick with SUZUKI oil and SUZUKI oil filters when changing the oil? Also, which weight should I go with? I think the last few times, It was 10/30....just curious to what others with this year Volusia are doing....

Not really broke...i could not figure out the correct forum so i rolled the dice with this one...

You'll find as many answers to your oil questions as there are members here.

In a nutshell:

There is no valid reason to stick with Suzuki oil or filters. Lots of filters fit this
bike and work perfectly. You can stay with Dino oil or switch to synthetic with
no problems. As long as you keep it lubed and full of good oil, this bike should
give you NO problems.
