Thinking about installing the OEM lightbar on my 2005 C50. I know they are prewired in the headlight to accomodate. Does anyone know if the pre-wiring set up is with a relay or not?

So I assume the OEM lightbar doesn't burn out the ignition switch, right? Is that because the bulb voltage is low, or that assumes you don't have a lot of other accessories running through the switch as well.

Well the OEM unit I had just blew the bulbs on a regular basis. I replaced them with sealed tractor beams 35 watt from NAPA and no more problems for the last three years.

Nope, no problems with the lightbar burning out the ignition switch. Like misguidedute said the OEM lightbar bulbs are crap though. I went through half a dozen in less than a month and then replaced them with the 4411 tractor bulbs. I've had them in since late 2002 and they are still working just fine.

The OEM lightbar replacement bulbs are hard to find and expensive from the dealer.

I've seen the bulb reliability discussed issue in other threads. So the 4411 tractor bulbs are compatible with the OEM lightbar?
Yep, they fit right in the lights like they were made for them. And are VASTLY superior in quality. 8)

Honda bulb 34901-MN1-671 is direct replacement for the OEM lightbar bulb and lasts quite a bit longer than the OEM bulb.
After going through half a dozen Suzuki bulbs in my lightbar in one season I went with the Honda bulbs. The second season I only had two Honda bulbs fail. I then went with the 4411 housings and went the next three years trouble free. The 4411's are the way to go.
