This afternoon I turned the key on and the Instrument panel lights didn't come on, the head light wouldn't come on and it wouldn't start. The tail light and turn signal lights work fine. Is this a battery, fuse problem or something else?

Yup. I just checked and with mine in that parking light position the brake light comes on and the blinkers work, but nothing else. If the key isn't stuck in the wrong position there is probably a short in the ignition switch.

03volusiarider, I sure hope you're right. Last time I had a problem with my drive shaft - you were right on the money!

Well, it was the ignition switch! Used the "how to fix your ignition switch" instructions, plastic was melted onto one of the conductors making it stick. I unstucked it and it works like a charm! Cost me $2 for a little bit of electrical lube grease.
