Welcome from Kennesaw GA!

Please don't feed the monkey.

I bet you could probably use a buddy. Any interest in a cute little Jack Russel puppy? I know a guy in AZ who's got some. :wayhappy:

Thanks for the welcome. So far as a dog goes my French Bulldog Peter wouldn't like a new dog in the house. Peter is 14. When he was younger he fought a coyote and won. One of his ears was nearly chewed off in a fight with another dog. My wife sprayed water in his unconscious mouth while I hung him upside down when he had a seizure after he grabbed a cane toad (usually fatal for small dog)s. Six months ago he attacked a large rattlesnake and was bitten 3 times in the face. The vet recommended not treating him since he was so old. He recently had a stroke and now staggers and the right side of his face droops. Peter is stone deaf and has cataracts. Other than that he is perfect, at least for my wife and me.

PS: Whiskey and guitarjim, who appear to appreciate music. I own several fiddles and many guitars, including a 1955 Gibson Les Paul with a Gibson tube type amplifier I inherited from my dad, who was a fantastic musician.

Yup, sounds like you need a new Dog.
Welcome aboard.
We got lots of things that bite, sting, and try to kill you out here in the AZ desert.
Last year one of my fur kids got a hold of a Sonoran toad and spent a few hours hallucinating.
I too have an interesting collection of guitars, though I can't seem to muster the passion to play anymore.

You should have called, I could have put you into an 09 Bully with all kinds of bells and whistles.

Welcome.

Nice guitar in the collection. Does the Les Paul have all of the original parts on it? I like tube amplifiers. It took a long time but digital has finally caught up and some incredible amp modeling is available. Do you store the instruments or play them?:wink2:

It is original, but all the tuning keys have turned to dust. Other than that it is in very good condition. The amp has several cigarette burns from when my dad and his friends got together. I used it to play rythm for him when he played his favorite instrument, a Buzoni fiddle my grandmother bought for him in 1920 when he was 8 years old. I now have it. I used to have guitars, fiddles and harmonicas all over the house and would grab one whenever I passed it but I haven't in a long time and the callouses are gone from my fingertips. Thanks for reminding me.

Greetings from Boston (but not for long)! What part of AZ you hail from. I bought a house in Dewey last year and will be moving out shortly. Happy to have you here. Sounds like your dog is quite the survivor. Good for him.
