my cobra bars caused me to wreck lawsuit?

i have a 06 with cobra bars. went around a 90 deg corner turning left at around 30mph. started hearing scraping noise from the cobra bars & my front tire lost contact with pavement & the bike went down on the left leg. broke it in 10 places. would everyone that has had this happen to them or know of someone that it happened to please leave info here. i believe that there must be a design flaw. no way should the bars ever be able to hit the ground while your turning. i will be out of commission for 3 months. thanks for your will wishes. i would like to keep any postings here about it happening to others. i would like to talk to a attorney with some of the info i pick up here. everyone be careful out there with the cobra bars. once they start hitting your going down. i posted at general discussion so i could get the most response & everyone else can find out about the design flaw.

The way mine are mounted -- and they were already on the bike when I bought it -- my floorboard would be dragging well before the bar was anywhere near the pavement...

I'm thinking he has probably worked it out at some point in the last 15 years.

Maybe a moderator could edit his posts, deleting the personal identification and phone number? It would be a kindness, preventing the contributor from being enrolled in basement waterproofing, extended car warranty and such spam...

You're a thoughtful man. I removed his number everywhere I could find, there were quite a few.

Pretty funny Skrap :p......But you're probably correct.....He sure didn't get a lot of love, for his lawsuit idea.....LoL
I feel sorry for the guy, and I wish we could have helped him, but read his first post here and tell me it doesn't sound like a lawyer trying to drum up business. When I pointed it out to him, he got quite pissy. He obviously has some issues to work through, and I hope he does.

I'm sorry for the man, too. And old Mother Woodswoman wishes tempers hadn't flared up the way they did. Mother likes people to be nice to each other and get along.

Fact is, there was next to no chance of the man getting anything useful out of his membership here. The folks who complained about this issue years ago simply aren't active here any longer.

I wish him well, and hope he can recover fully from his injuries.

Can I sue New York state ? Their curves in the road caused me to wreck 🤣 That's my story, now, and I'm sticking to it !
Sure you can , but please don't plead your case here. It seems to start arguments.

I wouldn't blame it on the curves. The potholes are probably more accurate. 😬

I've had three noteworthy bike wrecks....None of them were my fault......I was not speeding......I was paying 100% attention......and there dam sure can be black ice in august!!!!... :p

I'm now convinced of the error of my ways. I'm starting a class action lawsuit against the motorcycle industry for selling an inherently unsafe product. It falls down on its own, goes too fast when you twist the grip and causes cars to pull out in front of us. Who's with me?
