Hey all
Thanks for the warm welcome over on the intro board.
As I said over there I bought a 2006 C50, That has been sitting for about 6 years. I pulled the gas tank and dumped the old gas. Not a lot of sludge came out and the inside of the tank was suprisingly clean, what I took for rust, turned out to be just varnish. I installed a new battery and with the plugs out, turned the starter over a few times. She cranked strong. The fuel pump is definitely bad (doesn't even try to turn, even after soaking for a few days in a bath of Seafoam and clean nonethonal gas.). I dont want to spend $400 + on a new FP assembly but there is this capacitor looking thin with the wire broken off.
So my question is, what is that thing? , what's it do? Can I check to see if it's good? and Can I get a replacement if its not?
Any help y'all can provide will be much appreciated. Thanks

Not sure what capacitor thing you are talking about but you can check out fuel pump factory for a fuel pump. They are under $100.
