I didn't know either one, but this is only a few miles from where I work. It was 75 deg. here yesterday and the bikes were out in full force. The accident happened in the early hours...I'm sure they were riding 2up to work that day so they could enjoy the ride home.

sad...so very sad. Healing prayers to Mike and his boys...for the loss of their mother, wife, friend.

this is why *I* don't ride at dusk around here. They're thick as squirrels, and thats NO overstatement.

i was just warning my members about it being the start of the deer season last night as they were leaving the pub from our weekly get together...but the one and only time i've seen an accident where a deer went up against a bike 'round here, it was NOON.

don't go thinking you're safe if you only avoid riding at dusk..
