If it sounds stupid to you then go read something else.

Not just a 24-hour period, but a combined 24 hours. You know, 2 hours here, 6 months later an hour and a half, 3 months later 2 hours. That kind of thing. My guess is less than 24 combined.

Just my accountant. I asked my boss at work for a name, and he told me of Pete. In that short time, I really grew to like and trust him. He was an insulin dependent diabetic. He was also brilliant. Certified CPA. Awesome guy. And so way down to earth. His family will never see this I'm sure.

I went into the office yesterday expecting to see him and get my taxes done, when his son gave me the news. I was so stunned. I had to go see my boss this morning and he didn't know either, so at least he got the news from me.

Sometimes I have so much fun on this board, that it really screws me up to have something like this happen. I will miss him and have changed my tag line for a little while to commemorate him. You guys will just never know how someone can touch you so much in such a short period of time.

I didn't feel it until I got on the bike. Buni was on the back and I flipped my visor up, and I said, damnit, I'm gonna ride with my visor up for him. Come what may, hit me in the face. I'm riding free for a little while. When I stopped I lost it. I still feel like crap now.

I think I'm gonna take a few days off from the board now, and try to get back in form. I'll read but not post. I really feel well I guess I can't say. Just trying to put something into words that will never come out right they way I feel right now.

I want to say more, but I'm just dumped out. It's all open in me right now. Look inside, see what you can. Take what you need. I can handle it, it just takes time.

This is a start. God bless all of you.

Sorry for your loss!

It funny how someone you spend little time with can really affect your life. The tribute in your "tag line" Is really cool!

Hang in there Bud!

I am sure Pete is well aware of the impact he made on you- and I would be certain you did the same for him. Consider yourself fortunate to have made a friend in him and at this point, another guardian angel for you when you're riding with the visor up.
Many blessings...

I'm touched,

He sounds like a true friend.

While you grieve, and you need to grieve, remember to celebrate your friendship. It's a gift few of us will enjoy.

A moment of silence for you. . .

A friend can be someone we've know for 24 hours or 24 lifetimes. Pete sounds like a great guy. I'm sure he knows how much you thought of him. Do what you need to do to take care of yourself. We're all here for you.
