Installed my forward controls the other day with my buddy Chechin. I've fallen in love with my bike all over again....2" lowering kit not far behind. If your even considering this mod.....don't hesitate...DO IT!

You can order them from John. He is a volusiaowners member and he manufactures them. He keeps the lowering kits in stock, but I'm not sure about the forward controls. I'm looking at ordering some now too. Just got a bonus and it's burning a hole in my wallet.

He will confirm the price, then you send him the money. He ships it the day he hets your $$$ and you get it 3 days later. Sweet!

I just put mine on yesterday. It took me two hours though. I geuss I over-analize everything and make sure I get it just right. But the directions are excelent, and the parts are very good quality.

Now I'm thinking about floorboards. But I'm worried, I know the boards will fit, but since the controls are forward, won't it make for a fairly weird angle to have your feet sitting flat on the boards up front?

Chechin, If I remember correctly form VOL , they want work with freeway bars. Is this right?

Blucas I'm not Chechin but can answer your question in one word. NO Unless you want to modify your engine bars. Someone on VOL just moved the lower bracket forward with the footrest mounts. Not sure how it looked or worked out tho. But it could possibly be done. Anything is possible if you work on it long enough.

No they wont fit like they are supposed to, I did see on VOL that someone made some extended brackets to move the bars forward. They had pics up on VOL. You will have to wait till Fett gets it up and going to check them out though.

VOL is back up so you can check out some pics of the forward controls and lowering kit installed 2 1/2" . I hope this helps, if not message me and I will take some more shots and email them to you.
