I put these pipes on yesterday and they sound real nice. However, I removed the gaskets because they didn't fit flush into the cylinder otherwise. Did you all leave the gaskets on or take them off?

You need your gaskets. Otherwise, you will get a vacuum leak and the bike will no run properly. It is OK if they don't sit completely flush into the cylinder as long as you are able to tighten them down evenly.

Thanks Bro, I put the gaskets back on. One of the gaskets suffered a little damage when I removed it initially. I bent the piece back into shape and seems to be OK. Is this OK, or should I get new gaskets?

I was afraid that was going to be the answer. I'm going to be pro by the time I'm done. This will be the third time I will have installed them.
