ok here is the deal I put my bike back together after my accident and just got it running last weekend it now has cobra slash cuts on it pair removal kit and no air filter (soon to ber a unifilter) it idles ok once under power it cuts out and spits and sputters could this be just a jetting problem I am going to buy the proper jets but so far havnt been able to find what I need for my specific setup any help on either of the matters would be appreciated- Zach

I also tried to see if making a restriction in the carb would help I cut a piece of rag and hose clamped it to my carb still no difference.

I wouldn't tweak too much until you get your filter on there.....
Order the filter and jets from motorcyclecarbs.com if you call talk to Robert.

From Briman's matrix.....

Aftermarket or stock pipes (baffles or debaffled) & Uni filter or K&N (airbox mounted):
150 or 155 main, 37.5 pilot jet, dyno spring, dyno needle on 3rd notch, mix screw at 2.5 - 3 turns. Adjust idle knob as needed to reach 1100 rpm.

What he said^^^^^^^

Call Robert at motorcycle carbs and he will hook you up.
The bike is getting too much air till you put a filter back on and when you put a less restrictive filter you will need to rejet.
