I just got done installing my DJ Drive about 3 hours ago. I dropped the bike off the lift, took it for a test ride and started smiling from ear to ear. 2nd gear at about 30-35, 3rd gear ran me to almost 50. 4th gear took me to 65. I could have pushed much more out of that gear. And finally, I switched into 5th gear. I was cruising at about 75-78mph and it felt as if I had just popped into 5th gear at 50mph with the stock drive.

These bikes should come stock like this! I didn't lose any power, that I could tell, in 1st gear. Everyone should have one!!!

The dealers who chide us for doing the mod should try a side by side comparison sometime.

There isn't a bigger benefit to the bike than this mod. The only proviso is some will benefit more than others.

It will do me great. The club does a LOT of touring. And Now I feel like my bike can hold up to it.

Congrats! You're right about everyone should have one. I just uninstalled mine today. :crying: I'm preparing to either sell or trade the bike. I took it out for a ride after the de-mod and I can tell you with certainty, I would not have kept the bike much longer without it...what a difference.

It really felt like I had a different bike. If I would have installed my Mustang seat and the drive in the same day, I would have felt the difference even more.

I can relate to your ear-to-ear smile. My experience exactly last year around this time. Wow! Enjoy!
