Inlet Radiator Hose I.D.

Howdy,
Bike = 2008 Boulevard C50C
I am looking at adding a temperature gage and I would be splicing it into the inlet hose.
Part# 17851-41F00
Hose, Radiator Inlet

Does anyone know the hose inside diameter?

I think it might be 25mm (1")
or
maybe 3/4"?

Thank you in advance,
John

Don't know the answer to your question but I want to follow and find out how to make a bung to connect the temp guage. Thanks.
interesting idea... but I am just curious........isnt the light on the console good enough? I know that tells us its warm.. but what tewmperature is that? have you gotten this temperature confirmed by someone other jthen just a dude at the dealer?

just curious

The only time I ever saw my temp light on (idiot light) is when I am starting the bike.....or is it the only light that doesn't light up at startup? Anyway, on a hot day I want to know if I am getting close to the too hot point or not.
The temperature gage I am interested in adding is actually the TrailTech bike computer.
They do not have a “Vapor” kit for the Suzuki Boulevard C50 offered.
But they offer a couple of kits that would work but I need to have that hose inside diameter.
The kits have you cut the hose then install their coupling with a sensor in it.
They offer kits with ¾” couplers or kits with 1” couplers and I am hoping some one knows the inside diameter of the radiator inlet hose.

Thanks in advance,
John
The one I got laying on my workbench measures 7/8ths but I bet 3/4 would work.

no help, but you might watch this one as well or PM the OP there and see if he has made any headway

I went out to the bike and looked at the length and location of the radiator inlet hose.
I think I will monitor the radiator temperature instead, the radiator outlet hose has a lot more room and it is easer to get at.

John

I am looking at a buddy's 09 C50 and this 17981-19F00 hose going into the top of the reservoir is disconnected from the bike and i cannot for the life of me figure out where it came from. Anyone know where this tube goes to?
Appreciate it.

Nope. I'm just dumb. It's an air release. It's not connected to anything 😂😂😂
