You know, I feel like people just want an excuse to whine - and so I'm gonna give it to you.
QUIT with this VR replacing VOL crap !!!!!!!!!
You know, it is perfectly acceptable that the 2 sites can (and should) coexist.
If you truly feel you want to stay on VOL, fine.
No one is twisting your arm to come here, by the same token, I don't see anywhere a post from any of the administrators that say they want to replace VOL with VR.
So calm down, relax, take an enema, and get the corn cob outta your ass !!!!!

I give this about 20 minutes until it gets locked !!
And I'm copying this and posting the exact same thing on VOL !

The motivation behind this site had nothing to do with replacing anything. Believe me, there were some nerves running on high over this issue before the site went live. How could we launch this site and not have its existence misunderstood? Personally I'd hate to see anything happen with the Vol site. That place helped me choose the right accessories, get tips, vent frustrations, and made me laugh and cry. I plan on staying there myself. We're trying to make this site something different. Think of it as the other restaurant down the street with a different menu. One night you stop in at one, the other night you may feel like something different.

I think what happened here is that everyone sees this page and it is what we wanted VOL to be. Faster, more features and much prettier! You call it whining, I call it "how I justify leaving an old friend"

The best way to make sure the launching of this sight is not misunderstood is to explain it, not just say were a different site and not replacing VOL. Let people know why there was a need for another site.

I feel (and am only speaking for myself) that there was a need for better hardware and better software and for more interaction with bike related businesses. I felt the VOL site needed these improvments but Chris didn't have the time or want to address these issues in a timely manner.

Heck, I miss a few days on VOL and I miss the new '03 models AND a whole new board for Vol owners! :shock:

Frankly, this board seems to be what we've all been looking for - the same familiar faces and info WITHOUT the annoying site breakdowns. Funny thing is, the VOL site will probably benefit from having some of its traffic diverted over here - the poor server just can't take peak traffic. :boozin:

Well, it's a different board, and yet it's mostly the same people, but there is a difference, and there should be no comparisons between the two - they are separate.
As far as the VOL site - i'm taking a hiatus for a while until I cool my heels.
But unfortunately for y'all, I'll continue to post over here as there are less restrictions on subject matter.
