I wouldn't change a thing. It's been a great adventure since the day I brought it home. 3 days in the driveway I was changing the oil and taking the exhaust off for the time. I think it's been a fun adventure. I'd do it again if I had the chance too.

I woul only change the power for highway travel. But, if I wanted a more powerful bike from the start I would have bought one.

I like the price so I wouldn't want to change much. Therefore I'd limit it to losing the plastic swingarm. I may even just remove mine I'm so sick of looking at it. I've seen some pics of some Vols with that done and it's not that bad looking. The other solution would be what was mentioned here already. A steel swingarm. They seemed to manage that without touching the price for '03. Oh well.

I'd ask for the same rear seat as the LC1500. The stock passanger seat looks ok but isn't comfortable.
