welcome...an 01...thats an antique back in the days of the carb that in 2005 went to fuel injection...had an o4, last year before they went to fuel injection...you'll love the choke...don't forget to push it back in after you.ve ridden a few miles and its warmed up...good bike regardless...replace the tires before anything else, regardless of how good they may appear and like suggested above, ask around for a credible dealer/service dept and have them go over it...worth the money.Enjoy and ride safe and feel free to ask for help or advice...we've all been there.

for 500, will make an interesting project,,,but if you plan to ride it, you;ll still have to spend some $$$ to make it safe beginning with the tires, be interesting to see what it will take to get it to start up...at worst if it becomes a money pit, piece it out and make some of the $$$ back... not that I think it was a bad decision, just these type of deals usually bring a history of issues but lots of guys here that can usually offer some helpful advice. fwiw, I bought my o6 c90 in 2013 with only 8k on the dial..previous owner rode it the first 2 years he owned it then it pretty much sat in a trailer as owner put more time dressing it and modding it to his taste, would ride it a couple times a year just so it was ridden but started his own business and no time to ride...took a chance and turned out to be a good purchase...80k on the dial now...no major issues.
