just performed a "economy" re-jet. Used a stock mikuni jet 155 with 2 extra shims.Small improvment in mid range.Changed pilot to 35.Now I notice a big improvment in mid range and top end.Only drawback is that I get an occasional small backfire.I also notice that she tends to stumble off idle until warm.K+N filter 155 main 35 pilot and mixture screw at 2 3/4. First baffle gone mickey drilled 5 places and 3rd baffle drilled 2 times.Any ideas?

on the average most members have used the 37.5 pilot, but also a big mistake is leaving your idle low to keep that patato potato sound. it will stumble at the start and most have stayed with the 150 main but every bike is a little different. if you have the jets try the 150/37.5 set up and most important even if it runs great check your plugs after a hundred miles or so. make sure you arent running lean, thats your bikes worst nightmare. hope this helps and have you read the briman matrix? do a shearch
