Does the backrest tab go all the way in to the bracket out to the 90 degree vertical turn on the support bar? I can only get mine to go in about an inch. Thanks for any help and tips.
It will, but you have to do some bending and wiggling to get it fully seated. It seems to seat better the longer you have it. When I first got it, it kept trying to pop out on me when I got off. Now I have to wiggle and cuss a bit to get it to come out.
The tab should go in far enough to screw the seat bolt back on. On mine I took the seat apart on the front lip, cut a piece out of it and it fit right in. If I hadn't cut it I couldn't get it to fit.
I can send you a pic if need be. The seat back should set at 90 degrees.
Hope I explained this right.
