There's a lady in our club who is 69 so yeah it can still happen, although she's riding a scooter now she has no problem keeping up and putting on the miles, say's that it's just too much to shift gears at her age now that she has arthritis.
I'll be 66 this December and riding is getting more enjoyable as the time passes. The best part about getting older is there is no schedule that one has to follow if you don't want to. Just like speed on the bike, as slow or as fast as you want. Riding is a great heart stimulant, either by choice or by cager reactions (or non reaction to you).
I was going to say something like this, then got to thinking 65/70 year old grannies n
might not be a good thing. On the other hand my sweet wife is a few years short of 40 and she, s a granny, but she doesn't want to be reminded. ;-) ;-) ;-)
