I'm always the end user of everything I own. I'm never able to get my money back out of anything, and I own my cars until the wheels fall off.
So I figure since I paid too much for my 09 Bully that I'll never recover, I might as well make the very best of it.
AFAIC, I've already had as much fun out of it as I paid, so everything forward is just icing on the cake.
From all the reading here, it seems the DJ is about the best thing one can do to this bike.
I got Corey on it, he's shipping today!:grin2:

I’m sure you will love the change it makes... There will be some necessary adjustments to make to your riding routine and expectations in some areas though... just minor ones...

You won’t be able to start out in second gear at a stoplight as easily if you forget to shift all the way to first.....:surprise:

And a slight bit of feathering the clutch to get going from a stop.

But after the first week you shouldn’t even remember the difference in the “heat of the moment”!!

Let me know how it goes, I'm debating doing it this next winter
I'll try to add to the pictorial library on this.
Maybe pics, maybe I'll go as far as a youtube, especially if folks want it.

Your going to love it. We do at least one, sometimes 2 at the wrench party every year.

I wouldn't mind it for a reference, but pics would be a lot nicer. I have issues viewing the photobucket links on old threads, so I don't have a whole lot of help in that department on most threads

Got the drive delivered. Awaiting a bike jack from HF. I have a catering gig on Wed, so will attempt the mod on Thurs.

I remember reading something about a cap, I think for the axle nut. M16 something or other comes to mind, but the search engine here doesn't work for small entires, or much of anything else for that matter.

Hey Fellas I am also about to install my DJ drive. I have one questions about the wheel spacer. Some post say just shave 2mm off the factory C50 spacer , then others say make it to a final length of 2.815 or 2 7/8 , so which is it. If a shave 2mm off that leaves me with 2.876 as the original spacer is 2.955, so to get to 2.815 . any input would be great

Let me know how it goes and how it rides after. I just finished bobbing out my Volusia so the DJ drive is definitely next

I've always gone with 2.875 on the drives I've installed. Never had an issue.
