Ok. The short answer is NO. It is not a direct fit. The long answer is the block is identical between both bikes. However, what is not identical are the cylinder heads, charging system and ignition. You will have to strip both the VL800 block AND the M50 block, swap the heads, generator, ignition coils, etc from the VL800 to the M50 to make it work. If you're handy with tools and have a few spare weekends for the project, then you can use the engine. If you have a hard time changing your own oil, then either pay someone to do it for you or pass on the opportunity.

can i swap my 04 vl 800 with an 04 vl 1500
Absolutely not. By the time you spent all the money and time fabricating the new frame to fit, then modifying all the VL1500 parts to fit, you could just buy a VL1500 and have money in your pocket.

Right on was just curious if the electronics and everything was same or if had change it all with motor
There is nothing cross compatible between the two models. Everything, including the drive shaft would need to be modified to fit the C50.

No. There is nothing cross compatible. The VL800 refers to both the Volusia and the C50.
