Enjoyed the read and PICTURES! I am gathering parts to attempt this mod....I have a 05 s83 propeller drive, extra c50 drive being machined tonight by a guy I know...question, the parts houses show a different part number for the rear axel on the 1400...everything I have seen on the mod says the 1400 and 800 use the same. Can you tell me the deal? Thanks in advance. Oldguy

One of the drives requires a bushing in addition to the spacer for the axle. I don't remember if it's the 1400 or 1500 drive.

You use the C50 axle in the assembly.

Thanks, I'm thinking the reason to shorten the "spacer" is to accomadate using the 8oo axle.

You have to shorten the spacer regardless of which drive you use.

One of the drives (1400 or 1500) has the correct hole size for the c50 axle, the other is too large and you must make a bushing for the axle hole.

I believe its the 1400 axle hole is the correct size and the 1500 hole needs the bushing, but I'm not 100% sure.....sorry.

1400 drive axle is same size, 1500 drive requires an axle bushing and the larger washer on the axle bolt to work.
If you ride on the interstate you will appreciate the lower rpms from the mod.
