I mentioned in a separate post about a C50 I'm trying to bring back to life (currently it's only Mostly Dead), and one of the issues is that it's developed a fair amount of condensation inside the lens of the speedo/odo/idiot light cluster. I pulled the assembly and brought it inside to try and let it stabilize for a couple of days to see if it dries out, but is there a way to pop the lens off and reseal it? If there is a non-destructive way to do it, it wasn't obvious to me.
Yes, you can remove the speedo cluster from the enclosure by first removing the three phillps head screws that attach the cluster to the bezel, then the 4 phillips head screws that hold the cluster together. Once those are removed, gently separate the two halves and the lens will be free.
Thanks. I had taken those screws out, but it didn't want to come apart very easily, so I was hesitant to force it. The lens cleared up after sitting inside overnight, but I may give it another shot.
