Canada's 911 Ride - August 23-24, 2014

Go for the ride of your life!

Just imagine ..................

2 Days .................

Police escorted ride ...............

Just imagine being in a continuous line of over 100 motorcycles, that can span as long as 4 kms., thundering down the highway with a police escort. Watching them close down sections of roadways while making room for this impressive line of motorcycles, travelling thru cities and towns and seeing onlookers watching and waving in awe!

The annual 911 Ride hosted by Canada’s 911 Foundation, is a police escorted charity motorcycle ride to raise funds and awareness for causes including helping the families of fallen emergency service personal, helping children who were victims of violent crime, as well as working with The Mikey Network to make MIKEYs (public access defibrillators) more readily available to help save lives.

This year’s ride will be held August 23rd & 24th.

The ride will start out from Davies Harley Davidson, in Richmond Hill, travelling though out Ontario, and overnighting at the Nottawasaga Inn, in Alliston. The ride will continue on the next day, returning to Toronto in the afternoon.

Thanks for posting this David !

I just sent the information and application out to a friend and was just thinking of posting and ........ "voila" there it was!

The website still does not have the 2014 application or route mapped out but they have already started taking applications at the last bike show. The number of riders is limited and is usually filled up well in advance.

For further details contact [email protected]

I have a pdf copy of the application form and hotel details and would be happy to send it out if you PM me your email.

Cheers, George

I am telling you. We should pool our chances together. With the proceeds we could all buy a new C50 .

Got the info just have to fax registration form in.
Will do that on Monday when I am at work as I don't have fax here at home.
They need to get in the real word of Email.
There is a problem with their web site as I cannot view on my iPad.

At this point in time I was just thinking of getting up early and riding in Saturday morning. (I'm up early every day anyway)
I may change my mind as it gets closer though. (I believe they have a deal with a hotel near there too) I'm probably 90 minutes away. Google Maps shows me @ 120 kms.

The route and times have not been posted yet but based on the previous year, breakfast was at 7 am and the departure time was 8am. We would have to gas up before breakfast when we get near the start point. This would mean about a 6 am departure from my place (depending on weather).

We have plenty of time to think about it. I am biting my tongue here LMAO. I can see this turning into another "Who is going to the Show or Friday the 13th thread". Lets see who pays up and commits first :biglaugh:.

Definitely staying at the Nottawasaga on Saturday. Friday is up in the air. Why are you staying in Newmarket on Saturday David? Just kidding. :blackeye::biglaugh:

Just got back from a trip to Toronto. I might just stay over Friday night! If I don't I'll probably have to be on the road around 5:30am!
If I don't stay over Friday night, I could meet you up around the airport and we could ride in together.

You are more than welcome to spend the night here.

Let's see who else is going first. Maybe we can organize a BBQ or outing the night before the ride, either here or up by the start point if we decide to get rooms in Newmarket.
