His new PCP hasn't changed anything but he seems to be feeling a little better. He's frustrated about his loss of weight and strength. Best news is he's coming out of his depression. It's slow but, it's a big step.
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers everyone.
Waiting on seeing specialist. Maybe then we'll find out exactly what type he has and what he needs to do. Just pissed me off that 1 said type 2,( after hospital tests) , other said type 1 after testing in her office. Now I knowwhy they call them "practices".
Sorry to hear that you're having such a hard time just getting things under control, but it sounds like you might be on the path to a treatment plan. Prayers going up for you guys.
I know the frustration of dealing with the medical profession. But the alternative is a witch doctor with a bone through his nose and a severed chicken head. The good news is they really do care about your son's well being. Hopefully the specialist will get things going in the right direction. Hang in there!
I have two different close family friends that are type 2 and both have had extreme improvements in their overall health by dedicating themselves to the ketogenic lifestyle. Great way to reduce the things that are deadly for your son, but he can still eat enough to maintain weight and strength. A guy I used to work with in his early 50s completely changed his life, energy, and health by doing this.
