Is it me or is the shaft drive cover dented in pretty bad?
Looks like an old school Bandit but with a shaft drive. I love the Bandits but would get into soo much trouble with one hence why I got the C50. Yes that shaft cover looks pretty dented in and would highly recommend checking out the shaft to see if it has rubbed against it at all. If there are no signs that it has rubbed then I would say go for it if he will take $1900 or less just my opinion.
Those are VERY nice bikes! I've always liked them. The 1100cc Suzuki four is an EXCELLENT engine! I think the "dent" in the shaft is supposed to be there as clearance for the pipe on that side. It came stock with a four into 2 exhaust. It's FAST!

I had one several years ago Suzuki made a matching sport fairing for it too . Really comfortable bike tons of torque ..
Thanks for all the feedback, I did look at the drive shaft and the indent does appear to be a factory design. Now I just have to see if I can negotiate a lower price!
This is a nice posts.I have a learn new thinks from this site.I share it with my all friends.I impressed by the quality of good information.Best of luck,Keep up good work.

They beat you to it four years ago. I'd say that wasn't even close.

Go buy it. I bought one yesterday. So, excited to take delivery. They are bulletproof, fast and so sexy!
Gixers were bad ass bikes.

I bought one new in 1993. When I picked it up from the Dealer I rode it around the block & took it straight back to the shop complaining about the front forks being so plush. The mechanic had one also & said he replaced the fork springs & that fixed it. So, I left in the shop till they replaced the springs. Handled beautifully after that, the back shock is awesome with heaps of adjustability but at this age, will need to be checked. Another thing I did to improve the handling was to drop the triple tree 5mm down the fork legs. I'd change those bars for something a little lower. This bike is a great all rounder, rode it on Australian mountain roads, including dirt; round town; commuting 80km up & down a highway in all weather conditions including full on storms (it doesn't snow here); and touring across a range of surfaces; it handled all of the above superbly and was very comfortable. This model is not a cruiser, it's a genuine sports tourer & should be treated as such. The only trouble I had with it was the carbies but I suspect that was caused by dodgey fuel that was contaminated with water that ultimately rusted the tank (ran out of fuel in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere & didn't have much choice).
