Go buy it. I bought one yesterday. So, excited to take delivery. They are bulletproof, fast and so sexy!
I bought one new in 1993. When I picked it up from the Dealer I rode it around the block & took it straight back to the shop complaining about the front forks being so plush. The mechanic had one also & said he replaced the fork springs & that fixed it. So, I left in the shop till they replaced the springs. Handled beautifully after that, the back shock is awesome with heaps of adjustability but at this age, will need to be checked. Another thing I did to improve the handling was to drop the triple tree 5mm down the fork legs. I'd change those bars for something a little lower. This bike is a great all rounder, rode it on Australian mountain roads, including dirt; round town; commuting 80km up & down a highway in all weather conditions including full on storms (it doesn't snow here); and touring across a range of surfaces; it handled all of the above superbly and was very comfortable. This model is not a cruiser, it's a genuine sports tourer & should be treated as such. The only trouble I had with it was the carbies but I suspect that was caused by dodgey fuel that was contaminated with water that ultimately rusted the tank (ran out of fuel in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere & didn't have much choice).I have a co-worker who is selling his.
