Air Filter rubber gasket?

Hey guys. On my 2008 c50, I’ve had a Kand N filter for the last oh lets say 15 years or so. I recently bought an oem filter and was going to put that on. I don’t know why. I guess at one point my bike had cobra pipes and a power commander which I took off years ago and just kept the air filter. I went back to the stock pipes. Anyway it seemed like there should be a rubber gasket between the chrome trim and the air filter. So I looked it up Motosport and found this. Hmm, yeah there is something. Seems like it would be more aesthetic since it it before the filter? When I received it, seems like its too small and not really any way to put it on. What am I missing? Trying to attach some pics.

The gasket that I got is in the chrome housing and inside the air filter housing in the pictures so you can see that it is too small. Its actually c shaped but the channel is on the inside instead of one of the sides.
The gasket I have goes on the outside lip of the cover itself and forms a seal into the air filter housing. It has a channel built into the gasket to "grab" the edge of the cover and bind down when you tighten the bolts. The one inside your cover is too small and I can't figure out what that would go on ?

Does anybody have a picture of what it should look like. Other sites list the same part number so Im confused.
The rubber gasket goes around the filter so you must have a C channel, verify that it is.

thanks. Yes I see it. Motosport can’t seem to figure what is wrong either. I feel like I ordered the correct part. One difference is my bike doesnt have those two little 90 degree tubes. My manual shows the tubes too.
The two small 90 degree tubes, I understand, were only included in the 2001 model, later they were removed. My C50 is from 2006 and it doesn't have them either. What I send is the service manual for the VL800 that I have, which goes from 2001 to 2009. The first chapters are the same for all years. It changes in 2005 because they eliminated the carburetor for electronic injection. Check part number 13746-41F00 Gasket

Yup. Thats what I ordered. They want the vin number of my bike so Ill send them that next.
Lol. I still cant find one. All the online retailers have this as the same part numbers and motosport is not putting enough effort into figuring it out since its just a 7 dollar part. I spent 800.00 there just this year so I guess that doesn’t mean much to them either. I think my next thing to try is to try at another retailer but ask them to check it against an oem filter first? Maybe its not even worth all my effort and I should just keep using the k and n filter? I was not having any trouble with it anyway. I can try to return the oem filter to motosport too since if they cant provide the correct gasket I cant use the filter, right? What do you guys think?
I bought my C50 used (2006) in 2010. On the recommendation of a friend I replaced the OEM air filter with a K&N filter. I have never had to buy another one, I just clean it and put its oil in it. For me it was an excellent solution because the Suzuki dealer where I live is not very good at having parts and you have to wait up to a month for something that I need. Also, the K&N works perfectly, so I recommend using that filter.

Thanks. Im leaning towards just sticking with the k and n. Lets see if I can get a refund from Motosport.
