Im looking for an aftermaket headlight and housing to fit my 05 boulevard c50. Im not a big fan of reflector style headlights and want to swap it out for a projector syle, but i cant seem to find a headlight that'll work with the stock bowl. I dont want to spend a fortune for a high end headlight and i cant seem to find any headlight bowls other than the fork mounted types and i have inverted forks about 75mm in diameter where i'd mount it, and most sellers are only offering the max I've found is 41mm. Any recommendations preferably around $100 or less and if i can id really like to stick with the bottom mounted bowl, like the stock, or even a budget projector headlight i can use with the stock bowl without major modification.

I am quite content with an H4 LED bulb - bright and decent beam pattern. What is the advantage of a projector headlight?
A projector allows for a crisp clean beam pattern and further projected beam pattern down the road, while imo giving a better look to the bike
I upgraded to this, it's cheap and effective. No mods needed to install. I rode my bike once at night with the stock light. Horrible. This, this is pretty good.

Any issues with overheating in the headlight housing?
I have not taken the housing apart since installing this, but will try to remember to do so for an inspection. I drive with the high beam on during the day for extra visibility and haven't noticed anything. I have similar design lights in two of my cars and have never had issues.
I have these and like them. The bulb does a better job of matching original halogen filament placement and collar angles.

I ended up installing the same bulb. I actually found it used, guy tried to use it with some fancy headlight controller, didn't work. No instructions but installed very easily. There is a lot of room in the Suzuki bucket. I stuck the ballast part to the side of the housing with some body molding tape i had laying around and stuck a couple pieces of HVAC high temp heat tape around the closest wire harnesses to the heat sync for good measure (probably not necessary) So far, so good. Beam looks good. Have NOT yet actually ridden at night to compare said headlight to halogen.[/url]
