Dang, I just read through the thread... that's a really narrow rim
Yea if I did it all over again I would have went with a 2.15 hoop but that hoop alone is well north of 300

I already spent over a grand on this wheel completed idk I get compliments on it when people see it and I'm going to do a 21 on the next bike also if that happens

My wife has a Shadow with a 21 front wheel. When I go from my bike to hers, it a challenge. Front forks want to fall to the side fairly easy when turning. Like an extended fork bike. She likes it a lot and does not recognize it that way but I do after riding my bike.

I felt it somewhat before I lowered the front of my bike but it wasn't like i felt it was going to wash out or anything like that it was just a different feel

You got married again?
Yes, divorced in 2014 from a Colombian. Met a women here in New Braunfels Texas a year or so ago. We bonded over a Xmas Eve all day ride. She has her own bike. Ridden since age 5, mostly desert, Forest roads in CA. She's recovering from a crash in Sept that broke 8 ribs, clavicle and punctured lung. She rode again in early Dec. and wants to ride every chance we can.

That's great. Congratulations. I remember reading about her mishap and I hope she fully recovers. Best of luck to you both in your future together. :)

Currently, planning our spring break vacation. I work for the local school district so the academic calendar is our friend... We are planning a week long visit to Guanajuato Mexico. Drive from Texas 800 miles south of here. Carry my bike and tour the area there for days and days. Google the city of Guanajuato and see for yourself what a beautiful and safe city. I visited there back in 2010 or so with the bike and it's time to return.

Hey Corey , I started researching and looking for 21” wheel for my bike and your forum from years ago came up , I’m pretty sure that you already sold the wheel you build and was on the pictures but I just thought I ask if you could point me in the right direction on getting one just like it ??

Welcome, new member!

This post is 6 years old now. And Corey hasn't been active on this forum for almost 3 years. So, sorry to say, you probably won't hear anything from him in reply.

Perhaps someone else will swing by in Corey's absence and help you out.

Welcome from Kennesaw GA!

You'll likely get more attention with a new post of your own.
Does nobody look at dates when they respond to ancient threads? I bought his wheel, sold it because it was waaaay too skinny and didnt handle well on the shitty backroads where I lived at the time, and built a wider 19" wheel. Buchanan Spokes in CA can custom lace about anything to your stock hub, but be ready to spend some $. Or, if you track down a vstar custom front rim, its a 19x2.5, buchanan already has the spoke length on file to lace it to a stock c50 hub, because I built one. I wouldnt go any narrower than a 2.5" wide front rim on these bikes
