Hi,

on my 2016 C50 i removed the left fork leg to open it up to replace the fork oil. After watching some youtube videos, where there was a screw under the cap screw that held the spring in the tube - I was surprised, that on my 2016 the cap screw directly held the spring in the tube, which made the reassembly kind of challenging.

Is that something that has been changed over the years or do I miss a piece in my front fork assembly?

Thanks,

Alex

On the couple I have done, the cap holds the spring in, there is no screw underneath.

Yup. There was no secondary screw on my '05, or my buddy's '02 when I did the oil swap either.

Thanks Skrapiron and Captain Cruiser,

that's good to know. Shame, such a little cheap insert would make the reassembly so much more convenient.

But we have to work with what we got.
