Greetings from the Dominican Republic!

As you know, in tropical climates the sun can wear things down in a hurry. Over the past year the LED for the tripmeter has gone totally black. I could care less about the fuel gauge but would like to know if swapping out for a unit off a 2005 would be a difficult task. As I mentioned, the fuel gauge is not important. The trip meter is.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Someone would probably know better than me, but the 2003 was a Volusia and 2005 started the Boulevard. They have different speed sensors, so I'd bet that you'd have to change a lot more than just the speedo.

No. The '05 is wired for fuel injection and the ecu. The '03 is not. They are not interchangeable.
