That boost, just isn't there. Adding the hypercharger won't make the bike any faster... Your top speed is just a tick faster than 88mph.

If you're bogging down at WOT, it sounds to me like your mix is off, or your jet/needle valve combo are not right for the bike.

They hypercharger will only give you about 2-3 hp more than you are already making now. That's it. There is no hidden horsepower waiting to be unleashed on these bikes.

If you elect to go with they hypercharger, you will also have to rejet and retune the carb again. Essentially, you will only be making more noise and get worse fuel economy.

Hello everyone!
I am not new to the forum, due to the fact that 4 years ago I created an account but have moved jobs and locations and had an inactive account, but IM BACK!
I have a 2001 Intruder VL800 and bought it stock off a gentleman who lost his job. The bike has been garage kept since he had it, and is still garage kept under my possession. I've added 2" cobra straight pipes (debaffled and added Big City Thunder Monster Baffles), 12" mini apes (straight swap, no new cables required for the 2001 VL800), dyno jet to the carbs, as well as a 3" lowering kit to the rear. I'm actually interested in moving forward with a Hypercharger but wanted insight on the best brand for the 2001 VL800. I've read posts about needing an adaptor for the fuel injected C50, but the 2001 VL800 is carbureted.... So is the adaptor required or not?????

1. Best Hypercharger for HP
2. Is the adaptor kit required

Thanks for any and all help. Glad to be back on the forum!!!!!
