tmunoz Heres my 2 cents. First on engine oil, use what it calls for, no reason to waste money on synthetic unless it calls for that. Change according to manual. Now the missing gears when shifting: my c50 did same, took out the shifter bushing from shifter and cleaned it up, put thin coat of motor oil, reinstalled. Worked 100 times better, smoother, no missed shifts. Then I happened to be looking around on I believe eBay and found a new one for 20 to 30 bucks I don't remember what it was called ordered that and installed that with a light coat of oil. No problems since. Hope this helps.

Whiskey Well, that escalated quickly. Now it's an oil thread.

If the oil hasn't been changed in two years you should probably do that before going any further. Most any motorcycle oil is fine, but make sure it doesn't say that it contains friction modifiers. The bike has a wet clutch, which means that the friction plate is submersed in the engine oil. You don't want the oil to be too slippery.

As has already been said, a clunk is normal, Suzuki makes a noisy transmission.

You might also consider checking and adjusting the clutch cable. It may not be releasing the clutch fully.

augustineakkapadickal The guy which I bought the motorcycle changed the oil 2 years ago, he told that after I bought the motorcycle, when he told this I check the oil the oil color, it seems like new I'm little nervous about the sound, it's coming when neutral to 2nd gear and it's not a normal sound some times the gear is not shifting from neutral to 1st gear and 1st to 2nd. When I try shift from 1st to 2nd its get stuck on neutral I have to do a hard shift from 1st 2nd some times..

scorpion46 Did you change the oil? If so, which did you add. Wrong type will affect the clutch and have it slam into gear. Has your clutch been adjusted lately?

Skrapiron What kind of sound? A click is OK. A grind or a thud is not.
