Playtime in NC...

going to meet my son and daughter there tomorrow for what should be a fun day.

brought 2 kayaks with me...hope to do some climbing and zip lining as well...son in NC for work, he went here with my daughter 2 weeks ago, called me and told me to come down to NC and have some fun here with him before he heads back to San Diego... needless to say didn't have to twist my arm too much.

Enjoy the family time, Dennis.

I can head East or West, it doesn't matter as long as it's on 2 wheels.

got back last nite from a great weekend in NC...place was awesome...if you're into the outdoors and enjoy outdoor play, this is the place to take the family or just yourself...did some zipline, lots of paddling in the whitewater course,

mountain biking, rope course, even tried paddleboarding which will be a one time thing...after spending the day playing like a kid, nite time brings the music, 6 piece band with brass...so we pulled up a chair on the lawn and while the kids sipped on beers I looked up to the sky and give a BIG THUMBS UP to a certain SOMEONE UP THERE for one of the best days I have ever spent with my kids.

That's awesome Dennis!
You need to send pictures of how you mounted your two kayaks to your bike.

was the only thing missing...would have made for a great commute there and back.
did stop on my way home on rt 81 in Pa to assist 2 riders on the side of the road...noticed them stranded on the sb side while I headed NB so took first chance to turn around a head back to see what was wrong...had left Long Island 5 am in the morning heading to WV and guys Honda just shut down...he was off to rent a car while the other guy was waiting for AAA to come get the bike...he was riding a HD...nice one too...so HD wins that battle...guy finally returned with a truck so I headed off while they waited for AAA...sucks for them to say the least...they were heading to some military reunion in WV that is held in different locations thruout the country every year. Hope for his sake it wasn't something too serious.

sunday after breakfast we headed to this place called TopGolf...newest form of family golf entertainment...set up like a driving range/bowling alley...you get your own bay, set of clubs for everyone to use and you hit balls at targets out on the range scoring points for how you do...waitress comes around bringing food and drinks, beers, whatever your liking...good for laughs...afterwards Jen headed back to Tenn and me and Dan headed into charlotte to see what Charlotte is all about...not much really, typical small city...everything closed and quiet, told him to pick something for us to do...he decided to tyr and add some culture to my life...so he picks an Art Museum...really?...personally I can't tell the difference between a Van Gogh, Picasso or whoever...my preference in anything art leans more towards Norman Rockwell which surprisingly had 1 painting there... upon leaving did find some liking to

don't really know if I came away with any more appreciation for art than before I walked in but he, my son, could at least say he tried.
