Thatís all I can stands, I canít stands no more

After over a year of chronic, and at times debilitating pain, Iím waving the white flag and having my hip replaced on May 23rd at the ripe old age of 49.

I thought I could make it until the fall, but after realizing that I can only sit on my bike for a few minutes before the pain became intolerable, I knew it was time.

So my riding season wonít start until late July this year at best. Wahhhh!

Believe me son, you're not the first here to go through this experience.
I had one done a little over a year ago, waited two months, then went ahead and did a knee.
The other knee is begging to be done, but I can't afford it.

You can PM me if you wish to ask any questions.

Yes, I remember you posting about yours last year. I had just gone through my first serious flare up. I ended up tearing my labrum in January, and it was all downhill from there.

Now you'll be the bionic man! Every time you throw your leg over the bike you'll have to do it slowly and say "na na na na na na"!

Heal fast and feel better soon.

Everyone that I know that has been thru it says it's all about being religious with the physical therapy as far as recovery. Good luck with the surgery.

Wishing you a full and speedy recovery, Ken.

You'll be back to riding and tending to fires in no time.

I can head East or West, it doesn't matter as long as it's on 2 wheels.
