Quick exhaust question

Until I'm sure I've got the wife's trike comepletely fixed, I'm considering stuffing one of these in each muffler to quiet it down. (too hard to hear the engine). Anybody used these or something similar?

It won't help much. The issue is there is not enough back pressure created in the baffle to effectively reflect the sound inside the pipe.

well crap. I was hoping to quiet it down until I'm sure I've got this puppy running right. I'm going to put stock mufflers back on (wife wants it quiet) but I hate to get them before I know I've got it right, because if it turns out I need a motor, I'll just buy another bike and that would give me lots of parts, including the mufflers.
